Single Pitch Rescue Course Print E-mail

Intermediate Level Course

The Single Pitch Rescue Course looks at skills every climber that ties into a rope should know; basic competency in risk management, problem avoidance and self rescue skills. This course emphasizes reducing the risks in the first place, teaching new, clever systems and techniques to reduce the chance of ever having to use the rescue skills you will learn on the course.

We have distilled the information taught on previous courses, and looked in to more realistic situations for self rescue. We will teach you the most efficient systems and won't flood you with over complicated useless systems. All these skills are useful in everyday climbing and it’s amazing how much speed and efficiency is gained from having these skills “dialed”. Self rescue is a topic that all climbers should be skilled in for themselves and the people they climb with.

"Let's face it, unless you take a course no one ever practices rescue skills, we just go climbing, that's why I took the self rescue program with Fox Mountain Guides".-Tom Gallo

4+: $120 per person (four+ to one instructor, two days)
3: $150 per person (three to one instructor, two days)
2: $185 per person (two to one instructor, two days)
1: $260 per person (one to one instructor, two days)

*The costs are based on the actual amount of participants on the course. courses normally run at 4+ people but in the event the courses run with less people the costs will be as shown above. Participants that do not wish to take the course with low numbers (because of the cost) can change their course to another date. The upside to lower numbers is of course a more personal course.

Recomendations

"How can I learn to climb? I asked all around Charlotte and I got the same answer from Jessie Browns, Inner Peaks and Great Outdoor Prov. Co. All three said to contact Fox Mountain Guides because they were the best out there. So with 3 Fox brochures in hand I called to schedule the Rock Climbing 101 Course. I then took the Single Pitch Lead Course and then the ‘Master Class’ in December from Adam himself. It's been the best money I've spent for climbing yet!"
