Intermediate to Advanced Trips

Multipitch_Rock_Climbing._Looking_Glass_RockIntermediate trips are for those people who have previous experience climbing outdoors. These trips can be anything from single pitch climbs where clients are refining their outdoor climbing skills to multi-pitch climbs where clients are literally taking their climbing to a higher level.

For multipitch climbing, the guide will climb a ‘pitch’ (section) of rock to a suitable stance or ledge and create and anchor where they will belay the climber up to them. Then this process is repeated again and again up the rock face. Routes can vary in length from 100ft-900ft in the Southeast. Whether your aspirations are to climb "Second Coming" (5.7, 2 pitches) on the South Face of Looking Glass or the "Original Route" (5.11a, 10 pitches) on Whitesides, we have the appropriately trained and certified AMGA Rock Instructors and Rock Guides for your trip. We have the only AMGA Certified Rock Guides in the Southeast trained and certified to guide on grade IV and V routes.

Who it’s for:

Anyone with previous climbing experience or beginners seeking specialized instruction. All equipment provided.

Time frame:

Can be a Half Day (4 hours) or Full Day (8 hours).

Cost:

From $160 for each person (based on a group of three). For a complete list of our prices click here.

All guided trips are 'one on one' with a guide unless you organize to bring friends or family with you. Multipitch guiding has a limit of three participants to one guide, for more than three we can arrange additional guides for your party. For individuals that want to learn more about rock climbing we offer ‘Private Instruction’ programs.
