Fox Mountain Guides now offers Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder and WFR Recertification Courses through Wilderness Medical Associates.

Wilderness Medical Associates' courses are designed for the Backcountry Professionals and Enthusiasts (no medical experience necessary): Wilderness Medical Associates offers a range of fully certified courses for Outward Bound and NOLS instructors, rock guides, river guides, trip leaders, mountaineers, climbers and others who venture into the backcountry.

The 8 day Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Course exceeds the National curriculum established by the Department of Transportation and include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training. The 2 day Wilderness First Aid (WAFA) Course is recommended for anyone likely to be assisting a WFR certified leader, as well as wilderness trekkers looking for a less rigorous course.

Wilderness Medical Associates' courses are widely considered the most complete medical training for outdoor professionals. Their courses are preferred by such organizations as Outward Bound, The National Park Service, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, many colleges and universities, and the FBI. As Canoe Magazine stated, "Wilderness Medical Associates has become the de facto standard in wilderness medical training."

Wilderness Medical Associates:

	Has been teaching the WEMT and WFR courses for 17 years.
