Rock Climbing and Rappelling at Chimney Rock

Chimney Rock Park is an incredible area that offers everything from beginner to advanced climbing opportunities throughout the year. We offer our normal full and half days of single and multipitch climbing and rappelling at Chimney Rock Park, but also offer our incredibly successful 'Intro to Climbing' a two hour experience for just $40 that encompasses all that climbing has to offer! The Intro to Climbing is ideal for those whole have little or no climbing experience that wish to see what climbing is about before possibly going on for a full day of private guiding.

We offer rock climbing and rappelling at Chimney Rock 12 months of the year.

No previous experience is necessary and all equipment is provided. You will experience private instruction from our AMGA Certified Instructors and Guides. For more information on hiring guides and what to ask for when choosing a guide service click here.

Fox Mountain Guides is the sole Guide Service in the country licensed to offer rock and ice guiding at Chimney Rock Park. Commercial guiding has until now never been offered in the Parks 104 year history.

Fox Mountain Guides is the only Guide Service in the Southeast that is Accredited by the American Mountain guides Association.

We also offer group climbing and rappelling trips for Families, Church and School Groups and Boy and Girl Scout Groups and can arrange any of our trips at our special group rates.

Climbing Types Available at Chimney Rock Park

	"*Tasters*" are walk up with no booking required and cost $15 and are unique to Chimney Rock Park. These are offered any day an Instructor is present at Chimney Rock (most days in the summer and most weekends throughout the spring, summer and fall). These are ideal for anyone wanting to try out rock climbing for the first time before booking a two hour or full day trip.
	"Two Hour Lessons" are run twice a day (9-11am and 3-5pm) and are ideal for people that want to try out climbing and get the basics. Classes are open enrollment for people 6 years and up and have a maximum size of 6 participants. These can be booked for any day of the year and are priced on the amount of participants in the lesson. For one person in the lesson it is $100, two people is $60 each and 3 or more in the lesson is $40 each. *Click here to book online!*
	"Half or Full Day Top Roping" For novice, intermediate or advanced climbers that wish to climb for a 4 or 8 hours at Chimney Rock Park. Top Roping is on cliffs that are 60-100ft in height. *For Rates Click Here or Book Here*
	"*Half or Full Day Multipitch" For intermediate or advanced climbers that wish to climb for a 4 or 8 hours at Chimney Rock Park. Multipitch climbing is on cliffs that are 100-300ft in height where the climbing is done in stages or 'pitches' from ledge to ledge. For Rates Click Here or Book Here*

Clients wishing to climb at Chimney Rock must pay the normal park entry fees of $14 per person.

Climbing is only allowed in Chimney Rock Park with Fox Mountain Guides.
